Carleen F. (DeCosta) Gomes, 55, of Lincoln, passed away Monday, November 13, 2017 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of Horacio "Ray" F. Gomes. Born in Providence, she was a loving daughter of Robert and Barbara DeCosta of Franklin, MA.

Carleen had been employed as a legal assistant for Kalander & Shaw prior to retiring due to illness. She also ran a day care in her home and treated each child like her own which earned her the title of “Auntie Carleen”.

A graduate of Franklin High School, Carleen earned her Associate Degree from Mass Bay Community College.

She is also survived by her son Jared A. Gomes; daughters Emily A. Gomes and Courtney L. Gomes all of Lincoln; brothers Michael and Jeffrey DeCosta of Franklin, Ma; sisters Kathleen Anzivino of Bellingham, MA and Susan Maruco of Plainville, MA; aunts Nancy McBride and Shirley Manchester and numerous cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be celebrated of Monday, November 20, 2017 at 10:00 am in St. Jude Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Avenue, Lincoln.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Carleen’s memory to the RI Cancer Center, 593 Eddy St., Providence, RI 02903 would be appreciated.
