Hazel A. Addy, 96, formerly of Cumberland, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Overlook Nursing Home in Pascoag. She was the wife of the late Benjamin F. Addy. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mabel (French) Templeton.

Mrs. Addy had been employed as an LPN for Memorial Hospital and as a private duty nurse for many years prior to her retirement. She had been a member of Chimney Hills Tenants Association.

She is survived by her son Robert Whittaker and his wife Lois of Chepachet; her daughter-in-law Cheryl Whittaker Heuer of Westerly; 9 grandchildren, many, many great and great, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Kenneth E. Whittaker and the sister of the late Richard Templeton and Ruth Brown.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm at Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Avenue, Lincoln. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
