Kyle Andrews, 48, of Lincoln, died unexpectedly on April 20, 2017. Born in Attleboro, MA, he was the son of Richard and the late Carole Andrews.

He graduated from Lincoln High School where he was a member of the football team and participated in the annual Variety Show. He also attended Springfield College and the University of Rhode Island. He was most recently employed by the MacColl YMCA. Previously he was employed by the Miriam Hospital for 15 years.

Kyle was the brother of Timothy Andrew of Providence, Mark Andrew of Lincoln, and Kelly Labossiere and her husband Christopher of Lincoln. He was the Uncle to Jonathan and Alicia Andrew and Alexa and Charlotte Labossiere, and the Great Uncle to Skye Andrew.

Kyle was an avid role playing gamer, known to spend many hours playing Dungeons and Dragons with his friends. He also enjoyed attending concerts, among his favorites were The Kinks (his first), The Rolling Stones, RUSH, AC/DC, and Van Halen.

Kyle was passionate about many things including rooting for his favorite teams; the Boston Bruins, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Philadelphia Phillies, and discussing relevant and often controversial topics with friends and family. He was a voracious reader of many genres, but he particularly favored fantasy novels and natural science texts.

Some of Kyle’s favorite pastimes were bird watching and body surfing while vacationing at Little Compton beach with his family. He preferred being outdoors and enjoyed biking and hiking with his family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life which will take place on Saturday, May 6th between Noon and 4pm at Smithfield Lodge of Elks, 326 Farnum Pike, Smithfield, RI 02917-1208. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kyle’s memory to the Audubon Society of Rhode Island.
