Irene (Larocque) Faria, formerly of Seekonk, MA, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017, with her loving children by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Faria. They had been married 59 years before his death in 2014.

Born in Pawtucket, RI, she was a daughter of the late Arsene and Blanche (Coulombe) Larocque. She is survived by her devoted children, Nancy DiBonaventura and her husband Peter and Mark Faria and his wife Beverly. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Megan DiBonaventura, Laura DiBonaventura Morris, Emily Faria and Jacob Faria. Irene was the sister of Theresa Brunette, the late Clarisse Beauparlant, Henry, Leonard and Maurice Larocque.

Irene was a wonderful cook, homemaker and always threw the most joyful family gatherings. She loved spending time with her family at any opportunity she could. Her most cherished times were spent when she traveled with her husband and family. Her faith was always the guiding principle in her life. Irene was an active member of Mount Carmel Church in Seekonk, MA. where she made time to volunteer and give back at her church bazaars and functions. She was the foundation of her family and she will be sorely missed.
