Claire C. Martins, of Cumberland, passed away surround by her loving family on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence.

She was the beloved wife of Alfred Martins for 61 years.  Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Blanche (Demers) Lawrence.

Mrs. Martins was employed as a payroll clerk for GTE formerly Corning Glass for many years until her retirement.  She was a communicant of St. Patrick Church in Cumberland for over 60 years, an active member of Cumberland Senior Center and a member of Royal Travelers.

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her daughter Sharon Rollins of South Attleboro; her sons Gary Martins of Lincoln and Bruce Martins and his wife Donna of Cumberland; 7 grandchildren, Jessica Boisvert, Lyndsey Martins, Kayleigh Martins, Ryan Martins, Brett Martins, Kelsey Rollins and Robert Brien; 3 great grandchildren Cameron Boisvert, Katelyn Brien and Kyle Brien and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Jeanne Lawton.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 8:45 am from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Patrick Church, Broad St., Cumberland.  Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.

Calling hours are Friday from 4-7 pm.
