Marion Barnes Lussier

Marion Barnes Lussier, passed away on January 31, 2017. She was the wife of Armand A. Lussier. Born in Central Falls, RI, she was the daughter of the late George and Valeda (Roberge) Munson.

Survivors in addition to her husband are two sons, Alan Barnes of Johnston and Michael Barnes of Lincoln, and a daughter Jacqueline (Jackie) Lussier of Petaluma, CA., and five grandchildren.

Marion has been a self-employed travel agent for over twenty three years and loved to cruise. In addition, she was a licensed real estate agent, Shaklee Products Supervisor and Coordinator and notary public. She also contributed her time as a Cub Scout Den Mother, Girl Scout Troop Leader, and Religious Education (CCD) teacher. Most importantly, she was an excellent mother and loving wife.

She is often recognized, even after 50 years, as the red-headed majorette and baton twirler for the Notre Dame Marching Band from Central Falls who had won numerous awards and medals for her skill.

Arrangements are as follows:

Wake from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, February 3, 2017 at the Lincoln Funeral Home at 1501 Lonsdale Ave, Lincoln, RI.

Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at St Ambrose Church at 191 School Street in Lincoln (Albion), RI.

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Marion’s name to the Gloria Gemma Foundation. They have been a great source of comfort and assistance.
