Alphonse J. Marcoux, Jr., 94, of Lincoln, died Sunday, October 2, 2016.  He was the husband of Valtrude (Dorval) Marcoux.  Mr. & Mrs. Marcoux had been married 70 years. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Alphonse J. and Marie (Moyen) Marcoux.

Mr. Marcoux had been employed in the maintenance department of Notre Dame Hospital prior to his retirement. He was a World War II Army Air Corps. Veteran.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughters, Jacqueline Hall and her husband Robert of Lincoln, and Muriel Beaumont and her husband David of North Providence; his son Raymond Marcoux and his wife Joanne of Westerly; 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.  He was the father of the late Janet Marcoux and the brother of the late Lucien and Joseph Marcoux, Blanche Lafleur and Margaret Sword.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln, from 2:00-4:00 pm.  A Prayer Service will take place at 2:30 pm.
