Wilfred E. Simard, 94, of Lincoln, formerly of Central Falls and Cumberland, died June 2, 2015. He was the husband of Doris T. (Armstrong) Simard. They had been married for 72 years. Born in Canada, he was a son of the late Jean B. and Marie (Soucy) Simard.

Mr. Simard had been a member of RI Carpenter’s Union Local # 94 for 67 years. He was an Army Veteran of WWII.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Paulette E. Pawson of Cumberland; his sister Simone Ferreira of Cumberland; 2 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 1 great, great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Lorraine Breault and his siblings Euclide Simard, Raymond Simard, Alice Simard, Yvonne Marcoux, Eva Desrosiers, Irene Sevigny, Sr. Blanche Simard, Rose Gendron and Jeanne Morissette.

His funeral will be held on Saturday at 8:45 am from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Jude Church, 301 Front St., Lincoln. Burial with Military Honors will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours are Friday from 4-6 pm.
