Helen E Halpin, 73, died Wednesday at Briarcliffe Manor surrounded by her family.  Born in Lincoln, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Kathleen (Noelte) Gibson.

She was a self-employed psychotherapist. Having received her education in the Lincoln School System and Bay View Academy, she pursued her nursing degree (RN) at St. Joseph School of Nursing.  She furthered her education at Rhode Island College receiving her Bachelor of Arts, Science and Master of Social Work degrees.  She enjoyed dancing, reading and was a devoted grandmother.

She is survived by her son Edward M. (Cheryl) Halpin III of Westwood, MA; her daughter Andrea M. (Francis) Leary of Belair, MD; her sister Agnes (Edward) Bolduc of Pawtucket and grandchildren Mia Halpin, and Rebecca and Jack Leary.

Her funeral will be held on Monday at 7:45 am from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in St. Jude Church, 301 Front St..  Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.  Visitation will be Sunday from 3-5 pm.
