Gilbert N. Blount, 83, of Lincoln, died Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the husband of Grace D. (Dube) Blount. They celebrated their 60th anniversary in February. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late William R. and Amanda C. (Duval) Blount.

Mr. Blount was employed as a silk printer for M. & F. Case Co. until his retirement in 1993.

He was a Marine Corps. Veteran of both WW II and Korea. Mr. Blount was a member of American Legion Post #14 of Cumberland, a Charter Member of Cumberland/Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, and a Charter Member of the Cumberland/Lincoln Boys and Girls Club.

He is also survived by his daughter Patricia L. MacLean and her husband James of Rumford; his sons Neil R. Blount of Woonsocket, Robert W. Blount and his wife Tina of Florida and David J. Blount and his wife Michelle of Florida; grandchildren Michael Gendron, Colin Blount, Ryan Blount and Alana Blount and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late William R. Blount Jr.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 am from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln with a Eucharistic Service at 11:00 am in Christ Church, 1643 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln. Calling hours are Monday from 4-8 pm.
