Virginia "Ginny" Thomson, 75, formerly of Lincoln, died Friday at Summit Commons, Providence.  She was the wife of the late Paul D. "Ike" Thomson.  Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Myron and Ella (Barlow) Wilson.
 
Mrs. Thomson was employed as a registered nurse in vavious hospitals, and nursing homes.  She was the director of Friendship Home in Lincoln from the late 1960’s until 1974. She also was employed by Woonsocket Family & Child Services and continued doing home health care into the 1980’s when she retired.  She graduated at the top of her class from Union Hospital School of Nursing now known as St. Anne’s Hospital School of Nursing.
 
Her son Paul D. Thomson Jr. of Cumberland; daughters Suzan Napolitano of Smithfield, Kristen Thomson of N. Smithfield, Tracey J. Ormonde of Rehoboth, MA and Katherine Thomson of N. Smithfield; in-laws Paul D. and Tina Thomson and Tracey J. and Ken Ormonde; and 1 grandchild, 3 step grandchildren and 8 step great grandchildren survive her.
 
Her funeral and burial will be private.  Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
