Barbara Jane Jackson, 89, of Lincoln R.I. passed away on March 28th 2014 at home surrounded by her beloved husband and family.  Barbara is survived by her husband of 68 years Gordon E. Jackson, her brother Jack Vaughan and his wife Peggy.  As the cherished Matriarch of the Jackson Family, Barbara leaves behind many loved ones.  These include her children, Ramona J. Jackson, Robert Jackson and his wife Tina, Kathleen Thibeault, and Julie Nadro.  In addition, Barbara will be greatly missed by her seven grandchildren; Joshua Thibeault and his wife Suzanne, Lindsay A. Thibeault and her husband Neal Liddle, Jacob Thibeault and his wife Rebekah, Joseph Nadro, Carrie Walker and her husband Jason, Christopher Jackson, and Barbara Jackson.  Barbara was also the great grandmother to Samantha, Evan, and Alexandra Thibeault and aunt to many nephews and nieces.

Barbara lived her entire life in Lincoln.  She was a true patriot and loved her town and home. Barbara was an avid animal lover and caretaker.  She was a faithful volunteer for the Lincoln Animal Shelter for 25 years.  Barbara was a member of the Limerock Baptist Church, Limerock Grange and Blackstone Valley Historical Society, and a true friend of the Limerock Fire Department.
 
Barbara loved to travel and enjoyed camping and being immersed in nature.  She will be most remembered by all for her wonderful way of making people feel loved and special.

Funeral services will be private.  A public Memorial Celebration of her life will be held on May 17, 2014 at the Limerock Baptist Church, 1075 Great Rd, Lincoln RI, at 1:00 P.M.
