Pauline A. Smith, 85, of Lincoln, died Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Harry C. Smith. Born in Lincoln, she was a daughter of the late James and Ann E. (Cassidy) Nelson.

Mrs. Smith was employed for the State of RI as a medical claims examiner for many years prior to her retirement. She was an active parishioner/volunteer at St. Jude Church.

Survivors include her daughters Ann Gariepy (Lloyd) of Woonsocket, Lisa McGee (Chuck) of Cumberland and Karen Butler of N. Smithfield; her son Paul Smith (Erin) of Burrillville; grandchildren Jeffrey, Brendan, Kelsey, Jack, Harry, Hailey and Jacob; great granddaughter Cassidy and nieces and nephews Raymond, Sharon, Bill, Diane and Kevin.

She was the sister of the late William and James Nelson and H. Joan Beauchemin and the aunt of the late Mark Beauchemin.

Her funeral will be held on Friday at 8:45 am from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Jude Church, 301 Front St. Lincoln. Burial will be in St. Mary's Episcopal Cemetery, 324 E. Main Rd., Portsmouth, RI. Calling hours are Thursday from 5-8 pm.
