Marion A. Prete, 93, of Cumberland, died Friday at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence.  She was the wife of the late Ernest J. Prete.  Born in the Ashton section of Cumberland, she was a daughter of the late Horace and Edith (Barnes) Pickles.  She had been a lifelong resident of Cumberland.
 
Mrs. Prete enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and gardening. 
 
She is survived by several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.  She was the sister of the late David Pickles, Florence Connell and Inez Crowley.
 
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 8:45 am from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Historic St. Joseph Church, Mendon Rd., Cumberland. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Cumberland.  Calling hours are Tuesday from evening from 5-7pm.
