Joseph Leo Riendeau,
78, of Lincoln, died Thursday, April 25, 2013 at home. He was the husband of Claire (Brochu) Riendeau for 57 years. Born in Berlin, New Hampshire, he was a son of the late Arthur and Aurore (Lauzon) Riendeau. He was a graduate of Johnson & Wales.
Before retiring Mr. Riendeau was a personnel specialist for the 4th Brigade 76th division. He put in a total of 42 years in the military services and retired with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer. He was a parishioner and Eucharistic minister of Historic St. Joseph Church, Cumberland and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Besides his wife he leaves a son David Riendeau and two daughters Linda Serabian and Lynn Correia all of Lincoln; his brothers Albert of Pawtucket and Sylvio of Texas; his sister Helen Bacon and her husband Leo of Cumberland; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Omer and Roland Riendeau.
His funeral will be held on Monday, April 29th at 8:30 am from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Historic St. Joseph Church, Mendon Rd., Cumberland. Burial with military honors will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours are Sunday from 3-7 pm.
