Muriel Toste, 86, of 3 Valley Stream Drive, Cumberland entered the gates of heaven on April 10, 2013 at the Woonsocket Health Center. She was the beloved wife of the late George A. Toste. Born on Sept. 1, 1926 in South Attleboro, MA, she was the daughter of the late William Benson and Elsie (Pickering) Benson Crompton.

She is survived by her son David and his wife Elizabeth; granddaughter Erin Toste; granddaughter Dr. Beth Harrison and her husband Michael, PhD. Muriel is also survived by her sister Audrey Gardner and several nieces and nephews.

Earlier in her life she loved to walk and to play golf. She was an avid Patriots fan who adored their quarterbacks – Steve Grogan, Drew Bledsoe, and Tom Brady. Her most enjoyable moments in life were the times babysitting her granddaughters Beth and Erin and making them their favorite dishes – tuna melts and "blueberry mess" and watching their softball games. "Nana" will be greatly missed.

Committal prayers will be offered at 10:00am on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the R.I. Veterans Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, RI. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
