Leola F. (Alger) Stansfield, 95, formerly of Cumberland, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the Scandinavian Home in Cranston. She was the wife of the late George W. Stansfield. Born in Cumberland, she was a daughter of the late Edgar R. and Leola M. (Boyd) Alger.

Mrs. Stansfield is survived by her sons George W. Stansfield Jr. of Cumberland and B. Michael Stansfield of West Warwick; her daughters Shirley R. Risk of Cumberland, L. Jean Simoneau of Port Orange, FL and Carolyn L. Hayden of Port Orange, FL; 21 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 3 great, great-grandchildren.

She was the sister of the late Edgar R. Alger and Francis Alger.

Her funeral and burial will be private.
