Phyllis (Carr) Turenne, 86, passed into eternal life on Thursday, March 21st at Jeanne Jugan Residence, Pawtucket, RI. Daughter of the late Robert A. and Agnes (Sanna) Carr; wife of the late Leo E. Turenne, she resided most of her life in Cumberland.

Mrs. Turenne was a graduate of St. Xavier Academy and was employed at Corning Glass Works and the Cumberland School Department. She was a Girl Scout and Brownie leader, volunteered with SPRED (Special Religious Development) and Meals on Wheels. She was a member of St. Patrick's Seniors and Legion of Mary.

She is survived by a son, John and his wife Sue of Wallingford, CT and two daughters, Ellen Beauvais and her husband Steven of Smithfield and JoAnne Hobson and her husband Bill of Tifton, GA; three sisters Margaret Bonner and Agnes Cowdell of Cumberland and Nancy McCrorie of Naples, FL; eight grandchildren, one great-grandson and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Mary Crozier, Dorothy Hart, Robert Carr, Jr., Paul Carr and Elizabeth Sullivan.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Monday, March 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Jeanne Jugan Residence, 964 Main Street, Pawtucket. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 26 at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel at Jeanne Jugan Residence. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, High Street, Cumberland.
