Joel Michael Callahan

Joel Michael Callahan, 41, died unexpectedly Thursday, November 8th at his Ft. Myers, Florida home from hemorrhagic pancreatitis. He was born in Providence, and grew up in Pawtucket. He was the beloved husband of Binky (Lim) Callahan, and son of Elizabeth (Callahan) Miller and Mordecai Miller.

Joel is also survived by his brother Raymond E. Callahan, and his nieces and nephews Jodie and Jesse Cheorg, Louise and Lexine Lim and Devin, Justin and Andrew Callahan.

Joel was previously employed by Union Wadding in Pawtucket, RI, and South Seas Plantation on Captiva Island, Florida. He also worked at Chico's and Sam Seltzer's Restaurant in Ft. Myers, Florida.

His funeral will be held on Friday, November 16th at 8:45 am from the Lincoln Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am to be held at St. Jude Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Mendon Rd., Cumberland.

Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, November 15th, from 5 to 8 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Joel's memory be made to Give Kids The World, 210 South Bass Rd., Kissimmee, FL 34746.

The family is also planning a memorial service for a later date in Ft. Myers, Florida.
