Mary Elizabeth (Lobo) Martin, 84, of Cumberland, died suddenly on Friday at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of Jerome Martin. Born in Attleboro, MA, she was a daughter of the late Vincent and Mary (Furtado) Lobo.

Mary was employed as a textile worker for Pontiac Weaving until her retirement. She was a very talented sewer and knitter who made all of her family's clothing including her daughter's wedding gown and many suits for her husband.

Her daughter Donna M. Houston of Florida; her son Daniel Martin of California; her sister Eulalia (Lobo) Mihalik of Delaware; her brothers James Lobo of Texas and Dr. Vincent Lobo of Delaware; grandchildren Lynn Houston Page, Kurt Houston, Jessica Martin Lupercio, Webster Martin; great grandchildren Hannah Page, Philip Page, Taylor Lupercio, Dylan Lupercio and Ethan Lupercio and several nieces and nephews survive her.

Her funeral will be held on Friday at 8:45 am from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Drive, Cumberland. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Calling hours are Thursday from 5-8 pm.
