Helen V. Dumont, 80, of Cumberland, died suddenly on Wednesday, October 24th at RI Hospital. She was the wife of Richard R. Dumont. They had been married 56 years. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Konstance (Trzuskowski) Padykula.

Mrs. Dumont had been the manager of the employee's credit union at Corning Glass and later Osram Sylvania until her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Patrick Church and a long-time volunteer for the parish.

Her son Richard A. and his wife Karen Dumont of Acworth, GA; her daughter Donna M. and her husband William Prochet of Chepachet; her sisters Mary Kosowski of Smithfield and Irene Lopes of Cumberland; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews survive her. She was the sister of the late Stanley Padykula, Bertha Stanek, Josephine Beauchemin and Genevieve Klepadio.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, October 29th at 7:45 am from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in St. Patrick Church, Broad Street, Cumberland. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. Calling hours are Sunday from 4-7 pm.
