Doris A. Belair, (Dot/Auntie Doris), 91, beloved wife of the late Edmond "Eddy" Belair, dearest sister of Estelle (Lacroix) Vanslette and her husband Robert A. Vanslette, cherished godmother of Ellen (Vanslette) Milano and her husband John L. Milano, loving aunt of Donna Henry, Skip Corrao, Linda Gravel, Steven Vanslette, David Vanslette, and Paul Vanslette died peacefully in her Cumberland home on Monday, October 8, 2012 in the loving care of Mark Rosenfield, Beth Kay and Lorna Goddard.

Doris was happily married to her husband, Edmond Belair for over sixty years.

She loved watching the Boston Red Sox and traveled extensively. Dot had a wonderful time telling jokes and stories and loved making people laugh. She was a second mother to many of her family and friends. In her 80's she learned to use the computer and she loved to play card games and bowl. She was a long time resident of Cumberland living more than 40 years in her home. She lived a long and full life and was a great inspiration to others.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Tuesday, October 16th at 10 am at St. Aidan's Catholic Church, 1460 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland, RI. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, 359 Daggett Ave., Pawtucket, RI. Family and friends are invited to share refreshments and conversation after the Procession to the Notre Dame Cemetery at the Belair Residence, 100 Hilltop Road, Cumberland, RI.
