John W. Collins

John W. Collins, 70, of Warwick, formerly of Cumberland, died Sunday at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the husband of the late Antoinette (Lussier) Collins. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Walter and Mary (Rogers) Collins.

Mr. Collins was employed as a machinist for Standard Nut & Bolt Company for over 40 years prior to his retirement. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his son John W. Collins Jr. and his wife Donna of N. Carolina; his grandchildren Sydney Collins, Paige Collins, Jackson Collins and Lucas Collins; his brother Walter Collins III of Auburndale, FL; his sisters Elizabeth Antico of N. Providence, Dolores Gallegher of Central Falls; Donna Smith of Warwick and Dawn Goff of Pawtucket.

He was the father of the late Jason Collins.

His funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am in Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Cumberland. Calling hours are Wednesday morning from 9-11 am.
