Marie "Rose" Pontbriand, 88, of Woonsocket, formerly of Central Falls, died Tuesday at Oakland Grove Health Center. She was the wife of the late Robert M. Pontbriand and the daughter of the late Francis and Elizabeth (Hamel) Rousseau.

She was employed as a weaver for Faustina Manufacturing Co. prior to her retirement.

She had been a member of the Women's Auxillary of the Eugene T. Lefebvre VFW Post #1271.

She is survived by her son Richard J. Pontbriand and his wife Diane of Tampa, FL, granddaughters Jennifer A. Songer and Kerri A. Biele, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Harvey, Albert, Rita and Blanche Rousseau, and Marguerite Marcotte.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30 am at Holy Spirit Parish (St. Matthew Church), 1030 Dexter Street, Central Falls.

Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.

Calling hours are Friday from 4-7 pm at Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Avenue, Lincoln.
