Shirley Bernice Gray, 82, of Lincoln, died Sunday at Miriam Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of Robert W. Gray. Born in Boston, MA, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Bernice (Lebreu) McMahon.

Mrs. Gray had been employed by the State of Rhode Island Department of Employment Security prior to her retirement. She was also employed as a ceramics teacher at Tolman High School and at home. She was an artist with many paintings in her portfolio.

She is also survived by her daughter Donna L. Gray of Smithfield, her sons Robert F. Gray and his wife Wanda M. of Alexandria LA, William R. Gray and his wife Sue of Warwick, Daniel P. Gray and his wife Paula of Upton MA and Jonathan P. Gray and his wife Laura of Holden MA, her sister Gloria Scholten of New Hope, PA, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held on Friday at 8:45 am from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Avenue, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Jude Church, Front Street, Lincoln.

Burial will be in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours are Thursday from 4-8 pm.
