Joseph H. L. Moreau, of Cumberland, Rhode Island died on Thursday, November 17, 2011. He was predeceased by his wife, Pauline T. (Langevin) Moreau, to whom he was married for 58 years.

He is survived by his sons Philip and his wife Patricia of Charlotte, North Carolina; Steven and his wife Cheryl of Hudson, NH and Peter and his wife Kathleen of Attleboro, MA. He was the grandfather of Christopher, Michelle, Julie, Jennifer, Matthew, Sarah, and Lindsey. He was the brother of Maurice (Central Falls), the late Gerry (Central Falls), sisters Annette Gautreaux (Pawtucket), Simone Messier (Central Falls), Lucille Gibeault (Central Falls), Theresa Coulombe (Holden, MA), and twenty-three nieces and nephews.

He resided in Cumberland, RI for the past 41 years previously residing in Pawtucket, RI for 15 years and Central Falls, RI where he was born.

He graduated from Sacred Heart Academy, New England Technical Institute, and Bryant College. He was an army veteran of WWII and the Korean War and was discharged as Sgt. First Class.

He retired from Texas Instruments in 1993 after 35 years of service where he was a purchasing professional. Additionally, he served as Director at Nations Heritage Federal Credit Union for 21 years, retiring in 2006. He was a past member of the International Precious Metal Institute, Purchasing Management Association of Boston, Attleboro Elks Lodge 1014, American Legion Post 0014, WWII Memorial Committee in Washington, DC, Korean Veterans Association Chapter 1, BVE Club 65, and the National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund.

He enjoyed traveling, reading, and spending winters in Florida.

His funeral will be held on Monday at 7:45 AM from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Avenue, Lincoln, RI with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in St. Joseph Church, Mendon Road, Cumberland, RI. Burial with military honors will be in RI Veterans Cemetery in Exeter, RI. Calling hours are Sunday from 4-7 PM. All are welcome.
