Beatrice I. Benoit, 90, of Cumberland, died Monday at St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. She was the wife of Maurice Benoit. They had been married 72 years. Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Angelina (Levesque) Guindon.

Mrs. Benoit was employed by Rowe Vending until her retirement. She was previously employed by AT Cross and Hampton Inn of Florida. She was past president of Notre Dame Women's Club and Sunseair Terrace Association. She had been a member of St. Aidan's Seniors, Cumberland-Lincoln Community Chorus, Cumberland Terrace Association.

She is survived by her daughter Lucille Gince of Cumberland, her son Ronald Benoit of Pawtucket, her brothers Ernest Guindon of FL and Robert Guindon of Central Falls, her sisters Claire Lague of North Providence and Cecile Jacob of VA, 5 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Lorraine Benoit e sister of the late Leo, and Noel Guindon, Laura Vincent, Theresa Schedine, and Rita Rainville and the grandmother of the late Jared M. Audette.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00 am at St. Antoine Residence. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. Burial will be private.
