Edward P. Conroy, 80, of Cumberland, died Wednesday at Memorial Hospital, Pawtucket. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Michael and Clara (Shannon) Conroy.

He was employed as an engineer for Electric Boat until his retirement. Mr. Conroy was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.

He is survived by his sons, Edward P. Conroy Jr. of Groton, CT and Christopher Conroy of New London, CT, his daughters, Donna Kay Strange of Jacksonville, FL, Melissa Gavigan of Norwich, CT and Colleen Overton, of Groton, CT, his brother Martin Conroy of N. Providence, 3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 7 nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Andrew, James, John Conroy, Ann Gorman and Mary McNichols.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 am at St. Teresa's Church, Newport Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial with military honors will be in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours and flowers.
