Catherine Hunt Dube, 92, of Glenmoore, PA, formerly of Cumberland, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2011 at St. Martha Manor in Downingtown, PA.

She was the beloved wife of the late A. Maurice Dube, with whom she shared 46 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 1986.

Born in Central Falls, Catherine was the daughter of the late Michael and Honora (nee Hunt) Hunt. She lived in Cumberland for 46 years before moving to PA to live with her daughter Cathy and her family.

Her passion was her family and she loved spending time with them.

Mrs. Dube is survived by her daughters, Honora Dube Shaffer and her husband, Howard, of Marathon, FL, Patricia H. Quinn of Narragansett, Rhode Island and Hollywood, FL, and Catherine A. Samoylo and her husband, John, of Glenmoore; nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; beloved sister, Mary Crook; dear sister-in-law, Mildred Hunt; brother-in-law, Florian Dube; sister-in-laws, Helen, Eva and Jeanne Dube; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her five brothers, Rev. Patrick Hunt, William, John, Bartley and Edward Hunt.


Her funeral will be held on Friday at 10:00 am from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Joan of Arc Church, Mendon Rd. Cumberland. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, Pawtucket. Guests may call at the funeral home the morning of the funeral from 8:30 am until 10:00 am.
