Ruth L. Gannites, 83, of Lincoln, died Friday at RI Hospital. She was the wife of George Gannites (former Chief of the Limerock Fire Dept.) Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Mildred (Brady) Noelte.

Mrs. Gannites had been employed by the Town of Lincoln School Lunch program prior to her retirement in 1975.

She also leaves her daughter Ruth LaFountaine and her husband Kenneth of Bellingham, her brothers Raymond Noelte of Rehoboth, MA and Ronald Noelte, her sister Mildred Pryor of Port Charlotte FL, her grandchildren Tammy Bousouis of Lincoln, Bethany Gannites of Cumberland, Gregory Mancini of Shrewsbury MA, Ryan Mancini of Blackstone MA, 6 great grandchildren and her daughter in law Ione Gannites of Lincoln and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Sgt. George N. Gannites (Lincoln Police Dept.).

Her funeral and burial will be private. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
