Norman Y. Jackson Jr., 79, of Skowhegan, ME formerly of RI, died Thursday in Maine. He was the husband of Kathleen T. (Markee) Jackson. They had been married 44 years.

Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Norman Y. and Anna (Wterman) Jackson. He had been employed as a security officer for the Security Police of the US Postal Service until his retirement in 1989. Mr. Jackson was a Coast Guard veteran of the Korean War.

He is also survived by his son Bernard Jackson and his wife Jennifer of Malden, MA and his brother Joseph Jackson and his wife Marie of Skowhegan, ME.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 8:30 am from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln, RI with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Joseph Church, Walcott St., Pawtucket. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, East Providence. Visitation is from 8:30 - 9:30 am Tuesday.
