Janet T. Prairie, (Lavallee) of Lincoln, RI, wife of the late Joseph G. Prairie and loving mother died peacefully on Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at her home at the Atria Lincoln Place. 12 Arlington Drive in Lincoln had been her home for 45 years.

Having studied music, Janet loved playing the piano and spent many years giving lessons to aspiring young students.

Janet was well known in the Lincoln community having enjoyed a long career in the Finance Department of Lincoln Town Hall. Janet held a special place in her heart for her many friends, the Town of Lincoln, the Rhode Island beaches, the Boston Celtics, and Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

Janet is survived by her loving children, Roger Prairie, Susan Prairie, and Ellen Prairie who will miss her dearly and will cherish the memories of time spent with their mother.

A private funeral service was held.
