To the Hunt Family: I often grabbed lunch at The Newport Creamery in Pawtucket and got to know Jean. What a great personality. In my sometimes stressful day, she could always cheer me up. She will be missed by many -

I would like to offer my condolences to the Hunt family. She was a very good friend to my mother, Ruth O'Brien. Jeannie was a hot ticket and great lady. I am sorry for your loss.

She was always very close to me growing up, but after losing my mom (her sister) almost 20 years ago, she became "my mom". Enjoyed our Saturday morning adventures; McDonalds, where many of her friends would meet, then whatever errands needed to be done. It was my special time with her. Holiday dinners, family gatherings and just plain being in her company were always great times and memories. Never could beat her at hi-lo-jack, her favorite card game. Will love and miss you til the end of time, Aunt Jean. Being your niece was an honor to me

My husband Richard and I ran into Jean and Raymond at Ollies one Friday a few months ago. We chatted about the old neighborhood and such good memories. She would come over to our third floor apartment and take my son Brien for an hour or so, just so I could get things done with my other two babies. I've never forgotten how good she was to me and I'm glad I was able to tell her so that morning at Ollie's.

Jean and I have been close friends my entire adult life. She was the best friend a person could have--kind, caring, generous, loving, always helping wherever she saw a need, never waiting to be asked. She was there for me through my most difficult times and celebrated with me during the happiest. So many great memories! I am truly blessed to have had her in my life and will miss her dearly.

My sincere sympathy to you and to all who loved her.
Evelyn Rossi

I was so sorry to hear of Jean's passing. She was the best, from the time I worked with her at Ann & Hope and when she worked with me in the Fish & Chip Store. We had many a laugh, she always had a smile for everyone. RIP Jean
Gail MacPhee (Manville RI)

Jean was such a special friend of my parents, Ruthie and Roland Paquet and so subsequently me and my brothers, Bob and Steve. We loved spending time with her family and her: time at West Island, endlessly playing cards and visiting in that little house on Gaskin Lane. She was such a character, always full of joy and laughter, and it was so contagious. She was a stranger to no one and will be missed by so many. Rest in peace and love.
