Lawrence N. Soucy, 77, of Pawtucket, died Monday at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, N. Providence. He was the husband of the late Eva M. (Rivet) Soucy. Born in Sheffield, VT, a son of the late Laurent and Marie (Mathieu) Soucy, he had lived in Lincoln, most of his life. He had been employed by Chase-Butterfly Farm, then Bird & Son and Texas Instrument and most recently as a school bus monitor for First Student. Mr. Soucy was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post #14 of Cumberland for 49 years. He is survived by his daughter Claudette A. Soucy of Cranston, his sons Norman F. Soucy of Pawtucket and Roger L. Soucy of Brimfield, MA, his sisters Theresa Daigle of Grandville, NY, Irene Soucy of Lincoln, Rita Dube of Providence, and Doris Pullano of Cumberland, his grandchildren Alyson LaChapelle, Jay Rushing, Gavin Soucy and Ella Soucy and his companion Lucille Grace of N. Providence. He was the father of the late Richard A. Soucy and the brother of the late Gerard, Leo, Alcide and Robert Soucy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 am in St. Matthew Church, Dexter St., Central Falls. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5-8 at Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln.
