John Shey, 83 of Lincoln , died Wednesday at Miriam Hospital . He was the husband of E. Dorothy (Robertson) Shey. They had been married 61 years. Born in Lincoln, a son of the late Emil and Ferida (Latif) Shey, he had been a lifelong resident of the town. Mr. Shey had been employed as a Deputy Sheriff for the Providence Superior Court until his retirement. He previously was a co-proprietor of John's Meat Market. He was an Army Sargeant serving in Germany during World War II. He is also survived by his son John Shey (Susan) of Lincoln, granddaughters Heather Reilly (Tom), Jennifer Flanagan (Tim) and Stephanie Shey and 3 great grandchildren, Shey, Tommy and Nora Reilly. He was the father of the late Cynthia E. Shey. His memorial service and burial will be private.
