Joseph E. Ryan, 73, of Lincoln, died Thursday at Miriam Hospital. He was the husband of Jennifer M. (Schabowski) Ryan. They had been married 50 years. Born in Woonsocket, a son of the late William J. and Gertrude C. (Garrett) Ryan, he had lived in Lincoln most of his life. Mr. Ryan had been employed by the State of RI Dept. of Labor. He was an Army veteran of the Viet Nam War. His brother Kenneth F. Ryan of Seekonk and numerous nieces and nephews survive him. He was the brother of the late William J. Ryan Jr. and Edwin Ryan. His funeral will be held on Monday at 9:15 am from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Jude Church, Front St., Lincoln. Burial with military honors will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. Calling hours are from 7:45 to 9:15 am Monday morning. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society N.E.
